Opinion of ophosting.net??

I am looking for a good reseller account that has ASP.NET, PHP, and Cold Fusion MX available. This is only really for some of my personal accounts - no client stuff, but I want something reliable. As I look through the forums, I don't see much in the way of a complete package other than a few hosts. I have seen ophosting.net in a few posts, but there's not much in the way of supporting commentary. If there is anyone out there with some REAL information on this host, I would appreciate any input. I have looked at a few other hosts that I have seen in the advertising section, etc. and for many different reasons (slow load time on their pages, poor choice of control panel, etc.) have already ruled most of them out and am grabbing at straws here hoping to get a little insider info on how things work at ophosting. Thanks for any help. (I hope it's not an MCwinHost)

I just open an account with them, the Helm panel is first rate, great graphics and easy navigation. As to the hosting speed and service I will start transfering my accounts this week so I will keep you posted on this. So far so good. Regards, Javier

I have been with ophosting for a little over a month and can honestly say they have been fantastic. Always very helpful. I read the plan wrong and thought it said Mysql and emailed them telling them my mistake (because the main site needed mysql so In needed to change the main site) anyway they said no problem and installed it for me. I LOVE it! The control panel is so advanced it took me a day or 2 to figure it out but it has so much more than any of the other reseller programs I have tried out and didnt care for.

Hmmm... I went ahead and gave it a shot and signed up with ophosting's reseller account. So far, I'm a little nervous about how it's going, but I'm not quite ready to flame them yet. It seems to me they are quite a small shop. They advertise "Instant Activation" but AFTER you've completed the order form, it states that your account will be setup within 24 hours. Strike one. Because of this, I sent a message through their online contact form (since I don't see a phone number??) and it states they'll look at my issue within the next couple hours. Next couple hours?? I ran a one man hosting biz for quite a while and it didn't even take me a couple hours to get back to a sales request. Oh well, I'm not here to make enemies (especially with my new host) and I will post more info as I experience life on the inside, but so far it's making me nervous. If they're good, then this stuff is irrelevant, but if it takes them a couple hours to respond to a technical issue, this could mean problems. At this point, I'm still inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, but don't sign up expecting an instant activation... UPDATE: Everything was setup within a few hours just like they promised and my impression as of day one is that they really have the beginnings of something great. I LOVE the HELM control panel - this is by far the best control panel I have ever used. If the service remains stable, I think I'll be very happy here (yes - even if it is on a windows box). << shivers with disbelief >> Last edited by richwalkup; 11-03-2003 at 09:25 PM.

I have about 10 websites running with ophosting, and so far so good. The only thing is you will not get quick customer support, so you do need to know your way around, but Helm makes it very simple, its a great CP. The sites seem to run great and the customers love the CP ease of use. Its been two months and I havent had any technical problems as of yet. I will keep all updated.

I just went to check them out... and my IP is banned from their website giving me a "You are not authorized to view this page" error. HTTP 403.6 - Forbidden: IP address rejected Internet Information Services. I have never heard of them before and i'm on dial-up. So if they are doing sloppy banning of entire class C addresses, then that's not a good sign is it? If they are reading this, you may want to check your ban list as you're blocking out 1,000's of potential customers.

Oh man... After everything was going good with OPHosting, then the bad news... NO SSL!Although its in HELM, I guess it doesnt work. Im pretty bummed. I spent all week setting up accounts and now Im in search to find shared ssl so I dont have to shell $100+ for a cert. Otherwise it was going alright...

We moved our 50+ domains to ophosting in Jan. but started having problems with email disappearing right off the bat. We worked with support for a month and they never got to the bottom of it and didn't seem too concerned. We started loosing our clients so we moved to a new reseller. After the move e-mail worked fine once again.
