JaguarPC again
Posted by codepress, 01-22-2008, 06:44 AM |
It's not more than 1 month when I had a 4 hour downtime and again today my server is not responding.
Luckily their main server is up, and I've sent a ticket, but they are not replying back for 40 minutes so far.
Is anyone else that is having a problem with JaguarPC at the moment?

Ok they fixed it, so I'm happy at the end.
For your info, it took about 1h20m to fix.

After several hours, my server is down again!
This is the 3rd time in a month and twice in a day!
Of course they have not replyed my ticket yet, this that makes me nervous!

Please email or PM me your ticket number, as we have 11 techs and 14 open support tickets there is no reason that any ticket should be over a 10-15 minute response time at the moment

The Linux VZ Node 'Cydon.nocdirect.com' is currently down and a manual FSCK is running on it. The server will be back up as soon as the FSCK is completed. We will update this thread as soon as we get some update from our Data Center techs. Your patience is highly appreciated.
Still not fixed as you can see.
2 downtimes a day and 3 in a month is a bad statistic.
Worst thing is that they do not realise that you are relying 100% on them and you may lose customers with these downtimes.
So they just say sorry for the inconvinience and wait patiently.
I think JaguarPC dont pay much attention on AfterSales, just on PreSales.

Thats simply not true at all, they do care their every single customer (being a customer for 7 months ). But sometimes bad things happen , they will fix it, make your server up again no doubt about that.

I'm with them 6 months and I'm very happy.
Their service is superb and their total quality of service of excellent as well.
I'm so happy, I do not intend tomove to another host FOR ANY REASON at the moment.
Although, twice a day downtine (1 hour first and 3 hours second) and all they gave me is a 'be patient and we are sorry' type answer, made me feel like they do not pay attention to aftersales.
When i post a ticket, i never use the EMERGENCY flag, because I can always wait. But when I use the EMERGENCY flag, then it is really emergency and it needs to be solved ASAP.
Anyway, concluding, I'm happy with them and they are a great host (surelly the best i've tried sofar), that's why I rely on them with my clients on 100% scale!
Thanks JagPC.

I left JPC 2 months ago after getting feedup with FSCKs & ~4-6hrs down time every 3-4 weeks... to top it all they lost over weeks data on RAID Failure...
(On Site they Advertise, daily backups are performed on VPS, but there was no proper backup available when one was needed)
PS: Their tech/support staff is the best... only reason i moved out was Server downtime and habbit of often FSCK running... and last was loss of data
