Who become resellers?

Posted by Lein, 06-21-2004, 05:47 AM
What do you mean, what kind of people more frequently look for resellers account (I mean their job and social status: webmasters, programmers, students)? And what is the main reason they do it (to start they own bussiness, to host multiple domains of their friends or for other reason)? And finally is the hosting the main bussiness for them, or only something like hobby or additional earnings?

Hello, Well i guess there is nothing like Social Satus or anything behind it .. everyone can be a Reseller & there are various reasons behind it ! 1. Webmaster - If a webmaster is having more than 2 websites he migt go for a Reseller to host them under 1 Account Controled by him .. alos the reason can be earning some money too ! 2. Programmers can be resellers for the same reason that is making some money or getting some experience in this stuff. 3. Students .... most of the webmasters are students so the same reason goes for them as in 1. For some it is a main buisness & for some it is just a Part Time job. But remember never buy hosting from any host who is doing the work as a part time job as he is not likely to be very respnsable as it is just a part time job !

A good majority of our clients are either web designers, or those with multiple sites who wants to group them together

With the cost of reseller's account today, anyone can simply sign up for one. There is no prerequsities or conditions to satisfy. As long as if you have the money and the needs, why not. Some people may group together and get a reseller account to host several websites. Some use them to resell and so on. Basically, the criteria is someone who has multiple websites and when cost-wise it is cheaper to get a reseller's account then individual virtual hosting accounts.
