Error 500 Internal server error

I have got a hosting from godady & installed Joomla but I found in log this error a lot of time [Mon Jul 19 12:19:01 2010] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/var/chroot/home/content/X/X/X/User/html-x-httpd-php5" aborted: (first read) idle timeout (60 sec) [Mon Jul 19 12:19:01 2010] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/chroot/home/content/X/X/X/User/html-x-httpd-php5" and when I try to open my site I got Error 500 internal server error I send to support & they said that erorr from the script (Joomla) & thy cant sopport it any one can help me to solve this error

Well, I think you should give a try reinstalling the joomla again it might work.

it's working good ths error I see it after upgrad the php version from 4 to 5

Ah! As Zend warns everybody, there were changes to the language structure between PHP 4 and 5. Though they tried to be backward compatible, not everything written for PHP 4 will work in PHP 5. You will either need to revert to PHP 4 or upgrade Joomla to a version support. On PHP 5.

this is my Joomla Version 1.5.18 it's the latest one & spport PHP 4 & 5

I have experienced the same issue with a client on GoDaddy. It is a php issue; the only fix I could do was to remove it and reinstall it. I downloaded Joomla from the joomla site for php5. If you find a work around, I'd like t hear what you did. Good luck!

I'll do it but this solution is to hard for me this will mean that I'll rebuild my site again when I start my site from 2007 I made Upgrade now for my version to 1.5.20 hope this solve it & if there is any other ideas can help in this issue hope to see it

Hey Sherbi, From experience; back up your database (at the very least) before the upgrade. I was able to recover a site using the database only; I just had to reinstall the components and modules. Good luck!

thanks a lot for the advice I made it befor I start that , If I didn't & my site go down this can make me cry ) Thanks again for help & hope to solve this error soon
