I have seen mixed reviews about them. Those who love them swears by god... Those who hate them curse like the devil... Up to you to decide if you will take the risk...

I got a simple account with them 2 months ago. I emailed them before ordering, explaining my needs. They told me they were OK so I got their EQS2 plan. 5 days later, they gave me 24 hours to move my site because "too much use of CPU resources" I'm now a very happy customer of asmallorange.com where the server load is always low... I had found equivity with findmyhosting.com but they aren't referenced there anymore, don't know why ?

I use to be with them, support was good 10-15min for a reply, But it would say check the forum, this was post on the forum. They have to many rules on the server. Many with e-mail, like a time frame on how many times you can check for e-mail. Then they added something to the server, which made all my php sites not work. And would cost me more $$ to make them work. So i found a new host, and am glad i moved. I would say no, dont go with them. If you go with them, dont get on the "warp" server. I am speaking from the point of view of a customer of an equivity.com reseller. I had a simple site that was based on the PHPNuke content manager, loaded up via their very own Fantastico from CPanel. Someone hacked into the site and started using PHPNuke's WebMail to send spam via my site. Equivity's response was to whack the site and notify the reseller that they had a "zero tolerance" policy for spammers (which I am not) and that I was obviously irresponsible to allow such a thing to happen! They were indeed rude and immediately assumed I was the guilty party. Maybe I'm naive ... but I would have expected them to detect the problem, stop it (any way they had to), and notify me immediately with assistance on corrective action. And by corrective action I don't mean assuming I'm the spammer and just dropping me. They now refuse to permit the site to be corrected and rehosted on their systems. So, the net-net is SPAMMERS-1, Customers-0. Hope you don't ever have a serious problem because they will accuse you of causing it and drop you like a hot potato! Stig

I fully agree with all the anti-equivity posts on here. My experiences with them are if anything worse. I'm just too angry to post clearly why I would like to string them up and make them suffer as much as I and my customers have.
