Reseller plans in Europe? (London, Brussels, Amsterdam)

Posted by rubberduck, 11-30-2004, 06:33 PM
Hey, Because of promises not beeing kept about the '99,9 procent uptime' (bla bla) guarantees, and beeing sick and tired of getting no (good) response by downtime, I've decided to go to another firm who can bid me a reseller plan (2GB space and 30GB transfer will be enough (then I'll try to look as if the promises match the real thing 99,9 pfff)... Later I'll move all my clients there, 5-9GB.. Who do you think could offer my such a plan (2GB) on a price les 50S (dollars)... I've httpme.com (America?) and these following others in mind... * www.1and1.com (offer little features) * http://noc24.com/powerresellers.php (low price!) * http://www.idologic.com/ * .......... WHM en Cpanel is a must! Recommendations? Thxn, Yves Goris ps. sorry for the bad english

httpme.com are quite renowned for their support in these forums. But I believe all their servers are US based (I am sure Bob will comment on this....) You are probably doing the right thing by trying a smaller reseller account to see how things go before you move all your domains over. Try mailing your potential host, send in a couple of support tickets at different times of day and see what response you get (speed and quality)

http://www.webhostchat.co.uk is more European-orientated should you pursue your London/Brussels/Amsterdam interest.

Got a little chat with Aussie from Httpme, I was a bit disappointed because he's left httpme.com (at least a bit), but indeed now I really need an European Firm, the ping times are all over 120ms! From here.. Yves

I'd keep away from 1and1 if I was you... Andrew

I think your offer (Andrew, Nethosted.co.uk) is very fine, ping time from here is only 23ms that's fenomenal!! Can you give me proves about your uptime? Brussels take me 26 seconds to ping (for example ithagi.be) I will sure consider to go with nethosted.co.uk! Regards, Yves

Kualo has London based servers and there are good comments about them. I would also consider them.

Is HTTPME in London/Europe? Yves

Who is your current provider? I don't think you will have any problems locating a reliable host, provided you pay a reasonable amount (which looks like your happy to do) Make sure you ask the hosts your interested in for independant uptime reporting (alertra, siteuptime) etc.

clook.net has UK based servers reasonable priced. Support for me has been great.

Hi Yves, thank you for considering us, but I just wanted to let you know that our support offices are in London, Ontario, Canada, not London UK. NOC & servers are in Atlanta, GA. Clook does have servers in the UK afaik. Thanks!

HTTPme.com servers are all located in the US. Bob's still with HTTPme, he just doesn't own it..he's a normal team member

Might be a few that would say Bob is anything but normal

Okay yes...bob isn't quite "normal" but he's definitely a team member
