Windows Virtuozzo Page File Issue

Posted by funtoosh, 09-04-2010, 09:54 AM
Hi, i've a Windows 2003 server Standard SP 2 64 but running on a Dual Xeon with 32 GB Ram and 4 HDD. The problem is Virtuozzo shows that it's only using 9 GB of RAM and 23 GB of RAM is free, then too the server is using 8 GB of page file which is probably causing bottleneck for the server due to disk I/O, is there any way i can configure the server in such a way so that it does not uses the page file till RAM is available. I've currently distributed the containers on 2 HDD and using 1 HDD just for the base OS and virtuozzo. Please guide if there is any way to resolve this issue Thanks

also you can do do top command get the PID of most cpu and memory used processes and do vzpid PID --> in plcae of PID put the process id you get from top, if the process is run by container you will know from which container id its running
