Hivelocity - review since 2003
Posted by depalma, 02-25-2005, 09:02 AM Hi everyone Just thought I would do a review of my use of Hivelocity.net since 2003 as my web host reseller account provider. I'm based in Australia - and the vast majority of my web hosting clients are in Australia. I'm building up quite a list of web developers who are sending me web hosting work, so my business is growing really well. I've found Hivelocity.net to be very supportive of my business, they've provided me with good pricing on my reseller account and allowed it grow with my business. A big (major) factor in deciding where to host my business was in support. Hivelocity.net have a real 24/7 live chat support service. So many resellers that i've looked at either don't, or say they do, but when you check, they're out to lunch! Because I'm in Australia, and want to do my hosting from the US, when people in the US are asleep, we're awake doing business, so I really needed someone there on the end of the line that could provide the support and make things happen. And they've done that. And, when there was an issue with a certain server, I have been able to find an answer and a response to what was going on, know it was going to be resolved quickly, and pass that back to my clients. So long as I could tell people what was going on, most of them were ok. Hivelocity.net also provide me just about EVERY option I would need for my clients. CF, ASP.net, PHP, ASP plus particular custom DLL installs (which a few of my clients have needed). These features have been very helpful in winning some of my clients over. Their help with me setting up my merchant gateways and SSL certificates was also great. I also prefer using the H-sphere CP. I just love the integrated billing and admin hosting features. So, going with a reseller that uses H-sphere was also one of my requirements. So, all in all, my business has grown steadily because I knew I could rely upon their support, and their array of features and options meant that I could accept just about any customer.
