Are you asking if hosting resellers and domain name resellers are making good money? Well, there are some making good money, and some making not much. It's the same accross the board really. There's those who create success, and there's those who are not so successful. Depends on the person's skills running the business.

Hey, it's business, like every other (cars,..........). It's all about you - support, marketing,.... There is money, but not tomorrow!

mis82 I suppose that you were asking, if you were to put in all the right effort into this business, you could expect a reasonable return, or if it would be better for you to consider another trade?

Its all about the effort. I personally think giving great tech support is a must have.

mis82, almost any business, done right, can make good money. I do believe that Web hosting, done right, can bring in some very pretty figures indeed. It certainly isn't an industry that one can simply, 'jump right in to'. Research needs to be done before hand, and a good amount of experience is a must. It certainly is not a 'get rich quick' scheme, although many think it is.

There are hosts who have started from a reseller account and built what is now a big business. It goes to prove that if you have what it takes, there are good money to be made in this business. You can't really expect to be rich with a single reseller account though.

Really depends on experience, you also need some money to start off. Domaining is quite a good biz. If you need advice on getting started. PM me. I am more a domain guy than hosting guy btw!

Start with a Reseller account with great host with great support. Invest some time in the business. Work hard and then you will see. I wish you much success.

But please dont start with reseller account bought on ebay or something ... the good looking "unlimited" offers are simply crap. Buy reseller on some good/well supported and stable hosting company then you may succeed Good luck!

ebay is a crappy place to buy things most of the time. There are so many scams there because they don't do anything about it.

You can make some profits from a reseller account, i beleave all of us started just like that, has resellers. First thing you will have to have in mind is how will you promote your business, for a start, mouth to mouth is one of the best ways of getting your first clients.

Exactly right. A Reseller account for some hosts is a stepping stone, along their path, in building their business. It was for me, when I started httpme back in the day.

Resellers have great potential, but there's a lot of people out there for a short time business. Better to provide quality on a long term, rather than, make a quickie and leave. Elgrande

There can be good money in the business if you make the right decisions and have the will to carry it through. The problem is too many people think that getting a reseller account is just a quick way to make some money and "it practically runs itself" which really isn't true. But market it right, provide a unique quality service and you'll be well on your way, and I wish you the best of luck if you do join the hosting industry

Is this bussniess make a good money?" I don't know about others but I am doing rather well with mine but the company that I joined is a little different and the only reason I am able to make over $5,000 a month is because I am bilingual. If you are interested send me an email but if you are looking to break into this market, it's going to be a lot of networking that needs to be done on your part. Good luck.

yes there is a lot of money. But one got to market ones services due to the glut in hosting providers. Now we even have hosting providers who offer FREE hosting reselling accounts

If you are a reseller account, it's difficult with some competitiors that running this business for a long time ago. It's better if the market place for a reseller is start from local market. You can do what ever kind of marketing effort during the first time. Later you can see some clients moved out just because they find a better space and packages offering with small price and the better high quality specs and services than yours. Except you offer an unique value added from your hosting beside the neccesary services like support and server technical specs. I ever seen my friends running reseller hosting plan with a weeding site templates and content for new couples. This is just for example.
