Upgrading the server does require a restore if you're upgrading the hard drive
We upgraded the hard drive, then something went wrong with the server so we had to replace the entire server after performing hardware checks which is the reason for the extended amount of downtime.

Emails are still down (for about 16 hrs now), my ticket was supposed to be updated "shortly"; it's been several hours now. It feels the site is run by one person.. (a dedicated one, but it may be too little to make the customers happy). Oh well, maybe I should open a new thread and provide a 1+ year review..
